Best Dryer I’ve ever Used -4B Kinky Hair
I have 4B fine hi porosity hair that dries. This Tymo dryer is the best hair dryer I’ve ever used. It doesn’t burn my hands like the other dryers & unlike many others, the attachments don’t keep popping off during use. Because I have high porosity hair, my hair dries quickly & even after detangling, it can dry into knots if not tended to quickly. With other dryers, my hair would knot up in during the drying process because I was so busy protecting my hands/putting attachments back on. The Tymo has magnetic attachments which helps to keep them on. I used 180 degrees with the comb attachment as my fine hair will easily get burn damage. I beleive if I used the higher setting, my hair would have come out alot straighter, but I prefer lower setting. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I actually like the bag and there’s a pocket compartment inside the bag to put the smaller attachments in. This product appears to be made high quality & while I didn’t want to spend so much money on it, it’d worth it. I got rid of my old cumbersome dryer.

Switch in the back may pop out so be careful but other than that its a great dryer.
I love this dryer but my only complaint is the setting switch in the back in a bit flimsy it came off a couple of times during use so be carful. It just needs to be more secure. But other than that it gets the job done.

Be careful with the high heat
I’ve been using this for months on the highest heat. It ended up burning my hair. I thought my hair was going straight, turns out I was damaging it. I cut off an inch and a half to cut the breakage. I’ll still use it but at a lower setting and putting a heat protector on my hair before drying.

First off the packaging itself is beyond exceptional! I love that they included a velvet storage pouch as well. Tymo really did their homework with this one, my hair drying time was cut down tremendously and the shine it leaves is nothing short of amazing. I also love that you can control the temps and speed. It is not as noisy as previous hair dryers I’ve owned. The little led display is a bonus as well. Who knew that this little lightweight hair dryer could do so much at an affordable cost!!! Buy the hair dryer people you will not regret it!

Works well on damaged hair, slower dry time
I’m very concerned about damaging my bleached hair so I used this dryer on the lowest settings, so it took me a good 1/2 hour but my hair is very long. I feel like it looks nice, less damaged than a regular dryer, I probably need better technique for a salon style blow out but I am happy with it for the price

If you want a good blow out, stop scrolling and add to cart
Ok ladies and gents. If you want precision and efficiency, this dryer is for you. Admittedly I’ve been using huge dryers all my life, so adjusting to the size of this more compact design has taken longer than expected for me. Don’t get me wrong, being compact is perfect because you can bring it with you without a 2nd though. Literally can carry it in the velvet storage bag and go. But I’ve adapted to traditional blow dryers, so getting used to the size has been a little awkward. And speaking of size, its compact however it is HEAVY, but baby don’t you question if it works because it DOES and maybe too well. This dryer gets HOT. and I mean flat iron hot LOL. This is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. I have 4C hair and of course I like my hair as blown out as I can get it. I mean. The heat setting goes up about 4 notches. Baby that 2nd notch is HOT. I don’t think I need to say more. Be careful lol. Product is great and I’ll use it for as long as it lasts. I hope this helps you love ❤️

Why did I wait so long?
I normally wait until I’ve used a product a lot before reviewing, but want to share my thoughts for anyone considering this as a holiday gift. I watched and read a ton of reviews, but still wasn’t totally sold that this would be the right solution for my shoulder-length, fine texture, high-density, 2B waves.DRY TIMEMy main priority was dry time, and the Tymo definitely delivers. I can get 100% dry in about 10 minutes, which seemed like an impossible result. My Conair IonShine 1875 with Black Orchid diffuser took at least 30 minutes to get my waves and roots 95% dry. With less time wet, my waves are holding better.COOL SHOTI read a lot of complaints that reviewers’ dryers were “stuck” on the 80 degree cool setting. So I tried not to panic when it appeared my Tymo was doing the same thing. The instructions aren’t great for this. Turn it off, turn it back on, play around with the on/off switch. I think what happens is that it appears that 80 degrees is one of 4 heat settings, but it’s not really. It’s a separate cool shot MODE. So if you get it on 80 degrees then try to adjust the temp, it won’t work. You have to switch the ON button to return to the original mode. This confusion is why I’m docking one star.DIFFUSERI was also concerned the diffuser would not be large enough, as it is smaller than my Black Orchid. The Tymo diffuser is a perfect size for my shoulder-length hair, and I really like the adjustable teeth. If you have significantly longer hair, however, the diffuser size might be problematic for you.TEMPSI’m really glad I purchased the version with the 140 degree setting. It is just on the edge of being too hot. I definitely won’t use the 180 or 210 settings for diffusing. Maybe those temps work for straightening, but I rarely do that.SOUNDThe Tymo seems quieter than my Conair; HOWEVER, the specific pitch of the dryer sound is really grating to me. I pop in earplugs while I’m drying. My spouse says the sound does not bug him.HANDLINGI find the Tymo to be very lightweight and easy to hold. I don’t have a problem with the location of the temp and fan settings. Diffusing doesn’t really require me to maneuver the handle much. I can understand why the button placement might be annoying for people who are straightening their hair.OVERALLI regret not purchasing the Tymo sooner. I don’t think the Tymo itself is necessarily making my hair look better; but because I’m not a morning person, I almost never had time to get my hair fully dry and get good results from my waves. I bought my dryer during Cyber Week, when it was about $50 cheaper than I had seen it before. So I feel good about the price. Knowing the results now, it would have been worth full price.

I bought this after using the Tymo brush. The dryer works good and dries fast. Only problem I had was that my hair is so think if the sections were too big the comb came off. I would also recommend a conb with closer teeth. But overall I was impressed.

Best Hair Dryer
This is the best hair dryer I have ever used! The comb glides easily through the hair and the teeth of the comb did not break or scratch my scalp. It also dried my har so fast! I am so glad that I bought this hair dryer. The only thing is I didn’t get the travel bag that was listed on the instruction booklet. I did receive all the other attachments. I highly recommend this hair dryer!

Amazed isn’t even the word
I bought this to use on myself but I barely use heat on my heat. Used it for the first time on my boyfriend 4c hair. Didn’t have to part of really detangle. No hair left in the comb and it doesn’t rip out the hair as you blow dry. Cuts the blow drying time more than in half it’s so quick. I like how it’s magnetic so the attachment does try to come on why blow drying with the comb.

Very Impressed
It is very light weight. Adjusting the speed and heat was very easy. The highest temperature goes to 210. I thought that it wasnt going to be hot enough to get my 4C hair dry. You can tell the power it has from the moment you turn it on and it dried my hair in a flash. I used the comb attachment and it didnt come off once while going through my hair – IYKYK.My only negative is that it is not as quiet as I had hoped. It is definitely loud and when close to my ear there was a high pitched noise that I heard that caught me off guard – got my dogs attention too (lol). Neither the loudness nor the sound are deal breakers.

Wonderful blow dryer for type 4 hair
Decided on this as i couldnt see myself dishing out the funds for a dyson supersonic or revair and im happy with my purchase. if i blow dry with the comb and with minor tension on the hair strands, i am able to get a fairly sleek and silky look without the use of a flat iron. a flat iron would fully make it a silk wrap. since i exercise and sweat heavily on my scalp causing root reversion, the quick nature of the dryer helps stave off reversion and stretches my hairstyle longer than i would normally keep it.Edit: I’ve been using this blow dryer for quite some time now and every time i do i fall in love with this thing again. my roots and hair is so flat after use. tension method (meaning i gently tug the end of my hair while using the comb attachment in a downward motion on a medium heat and medium speed setting) is all that’s needed to go from big and curly to straight and slightly silky. i’m now recommending this blow dryer to all i know that has had the same issues with natural hair that i have. really easy to skip the flat iron with the right technique

Awesome hair dryer
I caved and bought this hair dryer after seeing too many adds for it. I’m glad I did! It’s amazing. The HD display is nice and the attachments work really well. It’s light and cuts the amount of frizz I have by at least half. My hair is shiny, smooth and silky after I use some Amika products + this hair dryer. My only complaint is after it’s first use, there were scratches on the outside of the part of the dryer the air blows out of. They appeared on the attachments as well. I would think for the price of this hair dryer, I wouldn’t have to worry about stuff like that for quite some time.

Never thought I would fall in love with a hair dryer.
This hair dryer is so sleek and sexy. If I could afford it I would gift it to all my friends and family with hair. I caught this on a Black Friday sale for $140 and I am very pleased. Even if I wasn’t able to get it on sale I would have gladly paid full price for this hair drier just for how fun it is to use and how sexy it makes me feel using such a premium product.Many people have complained about accidentally adjusting the temperature and fan speeds due to the protruding buttons but I don’t have this issue at all. For whatever reason the buttons on my hairdryer are flat which helps to avoid unnecessary pressing when using the hairdryer. My guess is that TYMO must’ve made updated the hairdryer without making an official statement about it.Lightweight and not as bulky and ugly as the traditional hairdryers many of us have grew up with. This product makes me appreciate how far hair care has come.

At best an upgraded travel blow dryer
I needed a new hair dryer and saw the reviews of this one. I ordered it because of reviews as well as what other people said on YouTube, anyway great seller it arrived quickly and I am not a member of prime. However I’m a guy with short hair not too thick but average full head of hair. Yes it dries, found the controls to be a little awkward in using, however it’s quiet so that’s nice. But all in all I returned it because it’s really nothing more than an upgraded travel dryer. Just giving my honest opinion here

Small and mighty
I’ve wanted one of these smaller hairdryers for a while, and ended up getting this on sale, based on my previous positive experience with the Tymo straightener. I don’t have experience with any of the bigger name dryers (Dyson, Shark) to compare to, but compared to my regular ol’ Conair it’s smaller, quieter, and seems to dry my hair faster. The attachments connect magnetically and I’ve used both the diffuser for wavy styling and the focused nozzle for straight hair. The digital display is nice but my one complaint is that all the settings reset themselves – every time you turn it on, it’s at the highest temperature and fan speed, so if you use anything other than that you need to adjust it after turning on, and you can’t just change a switch by feel, you have to hold the dryer out and push a button and watch the display change. It’s also easy to accidentally hit the small buttons on the handle while using it, depending on how you are gripping it. I guess this is just the price we pay for technology though! Overall I’m happy with it and would recommend for anyone looking for one of these smaller hair dryers without breaking the bank.

Best Hair Tool Purchase
This dryer has made me a believer in purchasing quality hair tools. I wear my hair natural most of the time and thought a dryer was a dryer but this made a believer out of me. The dryer has 4 degree settings (80, 140, 180, and 210). I’ve noticed 140 degrees is more than enough to get my hair dry, straight, and not straw-like. My hair is usually straight and silky after a just a few minutes. Great adjustable diffuser, great magnetic comb and vent attachments. My only gripe is the placement of heat setting button. It makes it hard to rearrange the dryer in your hands for better use without causing you to accidentally change temps. If that can get fixed this will be a 5 star dryer.

Everything is great… except for the design. Had to make my own modifications.
I can’t reiterate enough how much I love how quickly this dries my hair, especially with the diffuser attachment for my wavy hair. It also straightens my hair really well the concentrator attachment.My only gripe is that god forsaken handle. Due to the dryer’s all-around matte finish, I struggle to grip onto the handle with my chronically dry hands… which then makes the dryer slide down my hand and also cause me to accidentally change the settings. I ended up having to apply grip tape on the base of the handle to mitigate the issue, which works like a charm, but I wish I didn’t have to because it’s a bit of an eyesore. I guess it’s something I’ll just have to live with since the product itself is very good at what it’s advertised to do. 🤷🏻♀️

When people give bad reviews, it should be understood, the product may be good but not for them. This dryer has high ratings with marginal negatives for a reason. Its phenomenal! it will beat the high end dryers every time because of the same or better quality but lower price.The dryer came in a sturdy box. It is much lighter and compact than my old Revlon 1875 watt that get smokin hot which I thought was good until I bought this one. Many complained the buttons are placed incorrectly and causes the user to frequently change the temp controls, but I have average size hands, wear medium surgical gloves and 8-9 size ring, yet had no issues. The handles is quite long so most won’t have issue. The cord is also extra long compared to drug store dryers like Revlon, Conair etc. This would be great if you have a crowded/shared bathroom and need to sit anywhere to dry. If the outlet is slightly far away. No problem.As far as the temp, lets be clear and realistic we all have different types of hair. Sometimes even on the same head. If you have thick, strong, heat resistant locks, this may not be the dryer for you. I’ve noticed some of the blowouts on Youtube influencers with thicker hair don’t always blow out silky straight opposed to those who have fine, softer or super straght hair that respinds well to heat.The dryer does get very hot. It will burn if left in place too long. Don’t beleive the hype of those who are damaging their hair with too high heat and feel if its not burning you and smoking, it must not be good. Those who say the heat is too low to straighten your hair may have course or heat resistant hair. Others simply don’t know how to properly blow dry the hair and live under the no pain, no gain rule and have the heat damaged hair to prove it.As far as the ION processing, this was the fastest my hair was ever dried (8 minutes with products. It would have been even faster w/out products to add and hold moisture). It leaves me to wonder if those super hot, make you hair smoke dryers were really ION like they said.My only take away but still left it with 5 stars for my ratimg is the comb attachment. The comb is short, but clumbersome because the teeth are wide and fat. Nonetheless, what I loved about the same comb is that it only has one row of teeth which is rare if not revolutionary. One row of teeth in a blow dry comb is all but unheard of. Yet, causes less tangle and upp issues then the standard two rows that tangle nad pull haor. I find two rows cause more problems then they’re worth. If you miss a few tangles two rows mean double the breakage. The Tymo Airhype teeth still straightened the hair but I needed to assist with some tension work. Finer longer teeth would remove all issues with the comb.All and all this is a keeper. I love it!

Great for Semi Truckers!
I bought this looking for a knock off or cheaper version of an “engineered” company’s really high dollar hair dryer.It is one of the best purchases I have done.I drive semi truck, so I’m literally showering in a different state all the time.I have found that after a year of using this hair dryer I do not have frizzy dry or brittle hair. My hair is healthy shiny and strong.I do not get my long hair caught in it like I used to do with conventional dryers.The heat settings are great, I use all of them regularly.I love the magnetic attachments, so easy to use.I love the faster drying time.I love how light it is.I do not love the bag it comes in, the pocket for accessories inside is a pain, since I store it in the bag constantly.I do not love the button placement, as so many others say, its kind of a pain. But once you get used to it, you are fine.I do wish the cord had a bit better management.But, for the price, I feel its a great upgraded hair dryer, and its great for traveling. And if you are wanting to try that purple company brand’s super expensive dryer, I’d go for this one. Its worth it without being a ridiculous price.

I like it but snags hair
So I purchased this dryer so I could blowout my 4 yr old sons hair, so that I could trim it for the 1st time. He has really long and curly hair. I will start by saying I really like this dryer it is very lightweight and “quiet” in comparison to most dryers. It works well and dried his hair quickly. I love that the attachments are magnetic. The magnets are strong and never came off while in use. I only used the comb attachment. There are a couple of things I feel others should know. The controls are up near the top where you hold it. I’m use to holding a dryer near the top so I kept adjusting the temp and air flow by mistake. You have to hold it near the bottom of the handle to avoid this. Not a big deal just some getting use to. I took off one star because I noticed that where the handle meets the motor portion kept pulling his hair out. If it wasn’t for this I would have given it 5 stars. Not sure if this is a defect in the dryer I received or not. I will be mindful of this next time I use it. I tried to take a picture of his hair stuck in it. This happened several times while blow drying his hair. I blew it out in small sections so it’s not like his hair was all over the place to cause this. Overall I really do like this dryer.

Wow this little hair dryer sure is strong. Produced a good amount of heat. I thought I’d need the hottest setting to get my hair straight, nope I used 180 instead of 210. I’m so glad my cousin recommended it to me. My only question is does Tymo offer replacement combs? I have a history of breaking the teeth of;;

Quiet!
I bought this for my fiance who is a professional hair stylist. She is blown away [chuckles] with how great it is.First of all, it’s quiet. Not silent, but you can easily have a conversation while using it. The note it produces is lower than most other dryers. So, not only is it quiet, but it isn’t piercing like other dryers.The attachments work very nicely as well. The magnetic attachment makes them super easy to put on or remove and they stay in place. The comb attachment slips on rather than attach magnetically. Not sure why.The dryer is also light. The shape/balance is well designed which makes it easy to hold and use.The only thing left to test is longevity. This one will be used several times a day, everyday. Hopefully it will last. I will update this a after a few months.All in all, highly recommended.

Worth Every Penny!
I purchased this hairdryer after watching a YouTube video from someone with very long hair. My own hair is super heavy, thick, and silver. I try never to use any heat tools on it ever. This hairdryer is a life send. It dries my hair quickly and with zero heat. It is totally amazing.

Love it!
For the most part this is amazing. The volume is low, so I can use it at night without waking anyone up. The clear temperature settings are an additional plus! I love the diffuser for my curly hair it works beautifully! I will say there are two major design issues. The issue for me is with the comb attachment. When using it, it’s occasionally gotten my hair caught in a small slit where the blow dryer nozzle meets the handle. When I’m using the comb attachment I obviously have to move it throughout my hair. When I do that it’s easy to accidentally press one of the buttons and change the settings on the heat. Both of these issues can be avoided with me being mindful of my hands but it is annoying which is why I can’t give it five full stars. Other than that I love this blow dryer.

The Diffuser needs a lock
I bought a diffuser for my last hair dryer and it was L shaped so that you could move the pin into the high position and not have it just slide back down. This diffuser doesn’t, it’s just a straight line so as you’re trying to use it the weight of your own hair will cause the pins to slide back into the lowest position. Super annoying.I suppose you could make your own fastener out of tape or something but that’s so janky, especially having to put something like that on such an expensive, high end product; you’d expect better. Makes me wonder if no one ever tested the product to ensure it’s value.I also dislike that it always starts on 210d. Every time you unplug and replug it in it’s always set to the highest heat. I wonder why that was chosen. I suppose it’d be too much to ask for it to keep your previously used heat setting or to be able to select/program it to always start on a preferred heat but at the very least don’t start it on boiling hot; I’ve unwittingly “burned” myself on it. I’d understand 180d since it’s not right next to the cool setting and also not boiling.Pros: Using my old hair dryer used to take 30 minutes to an hour and a half to dry my hair, an hour and a half if I was careful about it, 30 minutes at the very least if I just flipped my hair over and let it yeet into the wind, not caring of the fact that it would make me look as if I had managed to stick all my fingers into an electrical socket by the end.This hair dryer takes 10 minutes. Ten… Minutes… (If I’m not using the diffuser, then it still takes an hour and, for several other reasons, it’s not worth it for me so…)TEN. MINUTES. It’s a godsend.—Personal anecdote:Hair washing days were literally “stay at home” days because it took 12 hours to air dry (I couldn’t do an hour and a half with my very old dryer just to have all my natural texture stripped flat), I had to use a hair clip to make sure it didn’t puff up and then sleep on it on top of that for my hair to calm back down enough to do anything with it the next day. My hair was literally a 24 hour affair no matter what brand of anything I tried!With this I dry my roots, my ends, and let the rest air dry (I mean, it’s partially dry by the time my roots and ends are dry anyway just due to how air works) and I can actually go back out in just a few hours and I still have my hair’s natural texture. Literally a godsend.Ty Dr. Mike for recommending this product in a yt vid… I feel like I’ve been saved from at least one small part of my body’s various disasters.

Not a Magic Bullet for this 2B/2C Girl
I will be 58 this summer and have struggled my entire life with my frizz prone and fine 2B (in the back) 2C (on the sides) hair in the humid weather of central Florida. I’ve tried long/med/short cuts and layers/no layers/long layers in multiple combinations without much satisfaction. Blow dry, air dry, dry partially… you get the picture. I feel like I can count on two hands the times I’ve considered myself to have a ‘good hair’ day. When I dropped my blow dryer and cracked the diffuser, I thought why not give Tymo a try after reading the reviews. For me personally, it’s not a magic bullet. The things that help me the most are an occasional clarifying shampoo, putting my hair up in an old t-shirt to absorb excess water instead of using my towel, the products I use after my hair is washed, and a good cut. Don’t discount the results a cut from a curl specialist will give you. If you are reading these reviews and considering a blow dryer in excess of $100 than you most likely have the money for a Rezo or DevaCut.Here is my experience with the Tymo.BUTTONS: People have complained about the two buttons on the front for air flow and heat regarding how easy it was to change either setting in error. The buttons on my old Conair Ionic are in the same location but instead of being flush with the handle like Tymo, they are rocker switches that stick out and therefore more noticeable to the touch. I wrapped a rubber band around the Tymo handle right below the buttons, so I know where to grip to keep from changing the settings – easy fix.DRY TIME: I have chin length wavy/curly hair and use the diffuser at a low air temp and gentle speed to keep my curls as defined and frizz free as possible. I saved about 5 minutes. If I had the kind of hair that allowed for a higher temp and speed, I can see a significant time savings.SOUND: Much quieter than my Conair.WEIGHT: Heavier than my ConairSIZE: Much smaller than my Conair.THE CORD: It’s got a much thicker cord than any blow dryer I’ve ever seen; looks industrial. I can only surmise it has to do with high air flow speed.I’m taking one star off my review for the buttons. I’ve decided to keep it for its size and the fact I can dry my dogs off faster. I hope this helps.

Best hair dryer hands down!
I have thick, long hair. It takes over an hour to dry it with a regular hair dryer. This dryer gets it smooth and dry in about 15 minutes. LOVE IT!!! All of my Tymo products far surpass their competitors!

Worth the price!!!
I had been shopping for a new blow dryer for a while and wanted the Dyson version simular to this after using it. Saw this on here and it was on sale so I decided to take a chance and I’m glad that I did. It’s the perfect size and drys my hair quickly. The only thing that I do not like is the comb attachment. The teeth are not long enough and to chunky. It is difficult to get to the roots and smooth them out. The defuser is a great size for us curly hair types.

This is seriously great
Ok so let me just say!!! Wow! This is the best hair dryer I’ve ever owned or used. It’s the only thing I’ve changed about the way I do my hair and I’ve had compliments on my hair every day for the last week. I blow dry and straighten every day.1. It’s light weight.2. It blow dries my hair in about 11 min. (Normaly it’s 30ish min)3. Easy to use.My family has lots of hair types :)I have basic white girl thin and mid length hair. Oldest has very thick, medium wavy, long, course hair. Middle has very long, extra thick, straight hair and my youngest has med. Length, slightly course, extra curley hair.It works perfect for all of us. The defuser attaches easy and works great. I’ve only had it a week so life of the product is unknown but I’m so serious, this is my absolute favorite hair tool! I buy from Amazon on a monthly bases and don’t really ever feel the need to leave a review but this hair dryer needs to be praised

Nice fan speed
This blow dryer gets hot and fan speed is great. However for African American coils the comb attachment is way too small. Overall nice blow dryer but thick coarse hair probably needs a different tool. I am a professional hair stylist

The position of the setting buttons
Over all the product is excellent the only thing I have an issue with is when you attach the comb and you blow drying your hair the comb is not secure it slides off sometimes so I don’t know if it’s because of my 4c hair type. If that’s the case then it’s not good for 4c hair typesThe placement of the buttons is not good cause as you hold the blow drier blowing your hair your fingers will actually change the setting from what you originally put it on your hands constantly going over the buttons and that makes it change it from the setting you set it to use it.for example if I set the temperature to 180 degrees to blow dry my hair when I start after awhile my hands or fingers accidentally slide over and change the temperature
