Great buy but understand..
These are greasy crayon like colors that come out easy with a wash, but going in can be very greasy – the trick is light application with smaller strokes and to comb it after. My 5 year old loves being able to have colors in her hair, and it’s great they wash out super easily.

Easy to use!
My son has blonde hair (on the dark side) and these showed up beautifully. They were perfect for crazy hair day at school. I sprayed his hair with a water to dampen it before hand. I did NOT blow dry it like the instructions say. I brushed it after applying to smooth and soften it. The colors stayed on all day then washed out easily. I was happy with results and how easy these were to use.

Don’t recommend
Bought these for my daughter so she could have colorful hair and they made her hair really gross. Used them once and threw them in the trash after that. I do not recommend these at all!

Fun Hair
It was easy to use the chalk pens. My kids wanted rainbow hair for st Patrick’s day. They definitely worked better on my son’s blonde hair compared to my daughter’s light brown hair. It was also harder to color the ends. I think this could be done I just didn’t have time before school to figure it out. Not sure if there is an information video on it but that would be helpful.

Very colorful. Very easy to use, but if you have darker hair you cannot see the color well unless you’re like in the sunlight on blonde hair or light brown hair work and looked very vibrant

Ok for fun or kids
Washes off completely. I used and applied head as suggested and colors faded. More vivid when I didn’t use hot iron or dryer. I like therefor alittle fun on a few strands. would be nice to just purchase wanted colors. I would say free for kids or if you want a pop of color here and there. Used on my new natural grey.Not sure how it looks on dark color.

Not the greatest
If you have dark hair this ain’t for you! I bought this for my daughters since they want to dye their hair and I thought this would be a great alternative, but it didn’t work. Both of my daughters have dark hair and no matter how much you tried rubbing the chalk on their hair it wasn’t very visible.

Dull
Although it was fun for me TRY on my daughter hair it was unsuccessful. Color didn’t show on her brunettes/dark hair. Held onto the scalp well but not the actual hair. Off to find another product.

Hard to use
It’s not easy to spread on hair and make the hair dry and fizzy. The color was not visible and not as shown in the picture description! Kids stop using it after several times trying! I am not worry about the color, but it did made the hair rough like grass. However, it may be our own personal case!

Really doesn’t work
The instructions say to wet hair, but whether or not you wet the hair the color vaguely shows up and does not stay. Very disappointed with this. I purchased it for my girls school spirit week to match the themes and it doesn’t work, especially on dark hair. Unlike what is shown on box and description

They’re more like markers than traditional chalk, so not only is it a huge waste of plastic, they get away with giving you a tiny piece of chalk on the end of a plastic tube.

Two sets of instructions with different information!
Ugh, just UGH! I got these for my blonde daughter. Read the instructions on the box, applied as listed. Then couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get the sticks back in the box. I opened the other side and found a second set of instructions that said “don’t wet blonde hair unless you want the color to stay in longer, don’t blow dry, don’t….” all the things on the back of the box. So basically I applied the stuff wrong because they told me to. Now I can’t get the color out of her hair and she has a thing coming up where I can’t have her hair in rainbow stripes. Lovely. On the bright side, the colors do show well on her hair.

Not as easy for youngsters
This was purchased for 8 year old. Super excited to receive and start right away on her hair. Parent said packaging was hard for her to open, but that was a good thing because otherwise may have been a huge mess. Daughter got all pen all over, so quickly used supervision. The product was fine, but color not as vibrant as we thought would be. Lasted a while, and still have some left after a year. Just not the product we were hoping it would be. Maybe expectations were a little too high. Probably would look for something else in future for temporary color.

Feels icky but colors fine
I used the pink in my blonde hair and my elementary students thought it was real dye. It made my hair feel awful though. And the application was difficult. I’d recommend getting the type that works like a comb instead.

Awesome colors
I like these hair chalks. They work for me. The colors will show up on light or dark hair. I will say that I needed to apply more on the darker parts of my hair. They are not chalky. They are more like a waxy crayon. They will give the hair an oily texture so it will need to be washed out in a day or two. If you want something to last longer, go for a semi-permanent color. These chalks will let you know how your hair will look blue, green, pink…. without the commitment or regret of a more permanent color. The color washes out easily. They are fun for the time they do last, though.

Cute to try out
It’s cute for kids. Chalk is like an oil chalk and takes a lot of chalk to really get the hair saturated. Then u got kinda greasy lanky hair ( we have fine hair) so light brushing kinda helps. Not interested in buying again but it was fun and I probably would recommend it for a slumber party activity.

My kids love these hair chalk crayons! They are so easy to use and control the amount of color you put on each strand. You just color like you would on paper. They show up best on light hair colors, but with some effort also take to darker hair. Parents favorite part: they wash out easily in the bath. This is a great, low commitment way for my kids to get creative with their hair. 👍🏻

FUN for 10 year olds
My daughter has been wanting to color her hair – not happening!! So, for Christmas I came across hair chalk and decided to let her try these..bought them for Christmas!! She was so excited to do it and her hair came out great!! I was actually shocked at how well these went on and stayed in her hair until we she washed it out! Good value for the money spent.I searched for ones that wouldn’t be a disaster to use and this is the best that I found and I’m very happy I went with this brand!!

Easy to use – fun for everyone!
My kids love this hair chalk. It is super easy to use, goes right on and leaves hair with lots of vibrant colors. The biggest tip is to make sure the hair is wet when applying the chalk. And the chalk lasts a long time but will wash out when you are ready.

Not vibrant and leaves hair greasy
Bought this for my 6yr old daughter. It’s more like oil pastels for the hair than chalk. Difficult to get coverage and leaves a heavy residue on the hair.
